Orbit

Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 October 2026 · Version 7 · Contact: support@orbit-dating.app

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a contract between you and JYDEV LTD (company number 17506340), registered office 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX, trading as Orbit (“Orbit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They govern the Orbit apps for Android and iOS, the website at orbit-dating.app, and the related services (the “Services”).

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Orbit.

These Terms are meant to be readable and to sit alongside consumer protections that cannot be waived, including UK consumer law, the Australian Consumer Law, and US federal and state consumer and privacy laws. The Privacy Policy covers the UK GDPR, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and US state privacy rights. These Terms are not a substitute for your own legal advice.

1. Parties

The Services are provided by JYDEV LTD (company number 17506340), registered office 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX, trading as Orbit. “You” means the person who uses the Services. “Content” means text, photos, video, audio you send as a message, and any other material you submit through Orbit.

2. The service

Orbit is a dating product for adults, and we intend to operate it worldwide. It includes profiles, a nearby grid, chat, voice and video calls, date proposals with a place and a time, Orbit posts, events, a private gallery, verification, notifications, and an in-app store for Orbit Premium and tokens. A feature may be unavailable in a country where we cannot offer it lawfully.

Features can differ by country, by platform, and by whether you have Premium. We may add, change, or remove a feature. Where a change is material to a paid feature you have already bought, we will tell you in the app or by email.

Orbit is a platform. We are not a party to any relationship, date, or agreement between members. We do not guarantee a match, a reply, or the result of a meeting.

3. Eligibility

We may refuse or close an account that fails these rules.

4. Accounts

5. Acceptable use

Use Orbit lawfully and in good faith. You agree that you will not:

We may remove content, limit a feature, suspend the account, or ban it. Serious or repeated abuse can include a device ban. We may also keep and pass on material where the law requires it, including to a child-safety authority.

6. Your content

7. Calls

Calls are not recorded. We do not store the audio of a voice call or the audio and video of a video call. We do not keep a transcript. We keep a record that the call happened and when it happened, including who took part and whether it was voice or video, so the chat can show the call and so we can look into a report. That record does not include what was said or shown.

You use the microphone during a call, and the camera if you turn video on. You may start or accept a call only with someone the product allows you to call. You will not record the call, take pictures of the other person from the call, or put the call on a speaker in a public place in a way that exposes them, unless they agree and the law allows it.

Call availability can depend on Orbit Premium and on the other person’s settings. A failed or dropped call is a limitation of networks and devices. We do not promise that every call will connect.

8. Meetups

Meeting in person is your responsibility. Orbit helps you propose a place and a time. We do not run a criminal-record check on every member, and we cannot promise that a profile, a photo, or a person’s behaviour offline is what you expect.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Orbit is not liable for what happens between members offline, except where liability cannot be excluded. Nothing in this section limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

9. Verification

Phone verification is required. In some countries we also require an ID photo, a selfie, and a short liveness video of you holding your ID before the account can be used fully. Submit only your own genuine documents. We may reject a submission, ask for another, restrict the account, or ban it if the check fails or looks fraudulent.

Verification materials are reviewed by authorised staff. They are not used as your public profile photos.

10. Premium and tokens

Orbit Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. Token packs are one-off purchases. On Android they are sold by Google Play. On iOS they are sold by the App Store. The price you see before you confirm is the price. Local tax and the store’s own currency rules apply.

Token use is unlimited. We do not impose a fair-use cap on how many tokens you may spend. Each action that costs tokens shows the price in the app. If your balance covers that price, you can take the action. We can still refuse a spend that breaks these Terms, for example on a banned account, or after the store reverses the payment that funded the balance.

Premium may include a monthly token grant, wider discovery, a larger gallery, calls, and verification without a token charge. The current benefits and the size of any grant are shown in the app and can change. A change does not take away tokens already in your balance.

We do not receive your card number or store password. The store does. Manage or cancel a subscription in the Google or Apple account you used to buy it. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund a period that has already started, except where the store’s rules or a non-waivable consumer right say otherwise.

Where the app says an action returns tokens, such as cancelling an Orbit post before it starts, those tokens go back to your balance. Money refunds for a store purchase follow that store’s refund process.

Tokens have no cash value, are not a bank balance, and cannot be transferred to another person or redeemed for money, except where the law requires a refund. Unused tokens remain on the account until it is deleted under the Privacy Policy, or until a payment reversal removes them.

11. Listening status

Spotify and Apple Music sharing are optional and off until you turn them on. Apple Music sharing is available on iOS. The tile can be seen on both apps. You are responsible for only sharing music you are content for other members to see. You can turn sharing off at any time. Details of what we store are in the Privacy Policy.

12. Privacy

The Privacy Policy describes what we collect and why. It is part of this agreement. In short: we do not sell your personal information, we do not use your private messages for third-party advertising, and calls are not recorded. Please read the policy.

13. Intellectual property

The Orbit name, logo, software, and interface belong to JYDEV LTD or its licensors. You may not copy, sell, or build a competing product from them, except as far as you need to in order to use Orbit as these Terms allow.

If you send us feedback, we may use it without paying you or naming you.

14. Third-party services

Orbit relies on other companies to function, including Google (phone checks, maps, Android push, Play Billing, and hosting), Apple (the App Store, iOS push, and Apple Music if you turn it on), Spotify if you connect it, Giphy for GIF search, and a place-search provider for meetup venues. Their terms apply to those services. We are not responsible for their outages or for a page you open outside Orbit.

15. Suspension and deletion

16. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that Orbit will be uninterrupted, that every profile is accurate, that every call will connect, or that the service is free of faults. Members speak for themselves. We do not adopt their statements as ours.

17. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, JYDEV LTD and its directors, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Orbit or from a meetup arranged through it.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) fifty pounds sterling (£50), unless a higher minimum applies under law that cannot be waived.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. That includes death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and consumer rights that cannot be signed away.

18. Indemnity

You will indemnify JYDEV LTD and its directors, officers, employees, and agents against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your Content, your meetups, your misuse of the Services, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent we caused the claim by wilful misconduct, and except where the law forbids this kind of indemnity. This section does not apply to a consumer to the extent a consumer-protection law prohibits it.

19. Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect rights that cannot be waived, including rights under UK consumer law, the Australian Consumer Law, and US federal or state consumer protection law. If a clause conflicts with such a right, the right wins to the extent of the conflict. Privacy rights for people in the UK, the EEA, Australia, and the United States, including the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, and US state privacy laws, are set out in the Privacy Policy.

Paid digital content and subscriptions are also subject to the store’s terms and to any cooling-off or refund right the law gives you. Where the law says a refund must come from us rather than the store, contact support@orbit-dating.app.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, ignoring conflict-of-law rules that would point somewhere else. Mandatory law in the country where you live still applies. That includes Australian Consumer Law rights that cannot be contracted out of, the EU GDPR and the UK GDPR where they apply, and US federal or state law that cannot be waived, including a US consumer’s right to sue in the courts of their own state where that right cannot be waived.

Subject to any right you have to sue in your local courts that cannot be waived, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes about these Terms or the Services.

Please email us before you start a claim, so we can try to resolve it.

21. General

22. Changes

We may update these Terms. The published page shows the new date and version. For a material change we will ask you to accept the new Terms in the app before you continue, and we may email you. Where the law requires a different process, we will follow that process.
